2019 R.O.C.K. Camp Student Coordinator Applications Due This Sunday

Are you a student who is passionate about the University of Arkansas? Are you seeking professional experience? Do you want to leave your mark on campus and make an impact on incoming Razorbacks? If you answered yes to any of these questions, being a R.O.C.K. Camp Student Coordinator is perfect for you!

R.O.C.K. Camp is the University of Arkansas' premier extended orientation program designed to help integrate first-year students into the University of Arkansas community. Participating students have the opportunity to engage with upperclass mentors, learn the traditions and history of the university, and make friends before classes even begin. For 20 years students have gone through R.O.C.K. Camp and gained lifelong friendships and a deeper understanding of what it means to be a true Razorback.

New Student & Family Programs is looking for energetic and hardworking students who want to leave their legacy on the R.O.C.K. Camp program as a student coordinator. In this position you are given the opportunity to design, create, and execute R.O.C.K. Camp 2020. Student Coordinators use creativity and dedication to create a memorable camp experience for incoming first-year students. You will work alongside the assistant director of New Student and Family Programs and a graduate assistant to make your R.O.C.K. Camp vision come to life.

Being a Student Coordinator is an unforgettable experience that will not only impact the students you are working with, but help prepare you for future leadership roles and opportunities. Working as a student coordinator is great way to gain paid professional experience - not only will you be leading and engaging students, you will also be working with budgets, developing programs, and working with multiple on-campus departments and local businesses in the Fayetteville community.

Previous R.O.C.K. Camp experience is not a requirement and we welcome all students who want to contribute to this unique program to apply. Applications and position descriptions for R.O.C.K. Camp 2020 are available at rockcamp.uark.edu, and submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 13.
