P.A.L. Program Applications Are Open
The Volunteer Action Center P.A.L. Program applications are open! The P.A.L. Program (Passionate About Learning) was formerly known as the Literacy Program and is a free, student-led mentoring program that partners with Fayetteville Public School District.
Its mission is to create personal and intellectual growth for both college-aged and elementary students through meaningful relationships, stimulating curriculum, and an alternative learning experience. We hope to encourage ongoing cognitive development within students through interactive activities and empower student leaders to impact the growth of future generations.
Volunteers with the P.A.L. Program can serve as either Lead Mentors or General Volunteers also called PALs.
The Lead Mentor position is open to experienced volunteers looking to grow in their leadership, communication, and management skills and gain resume building experience while making a difference in students' lives. Lead Mentors are required to volunteer at least two times each week and have additional responsibilities.
The General Volunteer position, which we like to call PALs, offers the opportunity to make a difference in students' lives through mentorship.
To apply, visit volunteer.uark.edu, go to the P.A.L. Program page, and click the buttons to apply through HogSync.
