Top 20 Homecoming 2017 Candidates Announced

The top 20 men and women Homecoming candidates were honored at a reception Oct. 6 at Fowler Conservatory.

The Associated Student Government in conjunction with the Arkansas Alumni Association announces the 20 men and 20 women finalists who advanced in the search for the 2017 Homecoming Queen and King. These students were recognized for their contributions to campus and the student body at the Top 20 Reception, held last Friday at the Fowler Conservatory. The Top 20 Candidates are as follows:

These candidates now advance to an interview process to select the top 12 King and Queen candidates. The Top 12 candidates for each title will be announced on Thursday, Oct. 12. Those remaining candidates will then have a second interview to compete for a spot on the Homecoming Court.

The Homecoming Court consists of the seven finalists for each of the two Homecoming titles. The 2017 Homecoming King's & Queen's Court will be announced between 8 p.m. and midnight on Friday, Oct. 20, at the Chancellor's Ball held at the Fayetteville Town Center. Elections for King and Queen will be conducted from 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, through 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at asg.uark.edu/elections.

The Court will appear in a parade on Friday, Nov. 3, and the Homecoming Queen and King will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally following the parade. The Homecoming Court will be honored at the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Nov. 4.
