Workshop Provides 3-D Printers to Businesses, Teaches How to Use Them
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is open for a two-day workshop in October: Everything Your Business Needs for 3-D Printing — Including the Printer.
The Global Campus is teaming up with NWA3D, an educational 3-D printing company in Fayetteville, to teach business professionals how to use and maintain a 3-D printer; the printer itself is included as part of the course cost.
Register online for the 8-hour training workshop set for 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 26 and 27, at the Global Campus in Rogers, 3300 Market St. Suite 402. The cost is $999, which includes an NWA3D A5 3-D printer, valued at $599, and a $30 filament. Participants keep the printer.
University of Arkansas faculty, staff and current students receive a 10 percent discount.
Participants will learn to operate, maintain and troubleshoot the NWA3D A5 3-D printer. They will learn the variety of ways digital models are created, the process of preparing a digital model for 3-D printing, and the history of 3-D printing and its business applications.
The workshop is one of many workforce and professional development programs and customized training options offered by the Global Campus in Rogers and showcased on its website.
