University Housing Holds Exploring Spirituality Event

University Housing will hold a forum about spirituality where students can learn from the spiritual experiences of other people working at the university and within the Fayetteville community.

Exploring Spirituality will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Arkansas Union Theater.

There will be plenty of food to whet the appetite for conversation for all in attendance during the reception following the panel.

The first 30 people will receive a free T-shirt!

This spirituality program is aimed at helping students understand more about different spiritual identities we have both on and around our campus community.

For many, college is considered the most transformational point of their lives. Students often reflect on and mold the spiritual dimension of their life during their collegiate years. This program will also help students to develop their own spirituality perspectives in the process. We will also explore the differences between spirituality and religion.

At the event, students will hear from a group of panelists about their spiritual journey. This panel will include people from the Hillel Jewish Student Association, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Razorbacks for Christ and possibly a few others.

Booths of information about many different religious and spiritual organizations will be available for student interaction. Students can dive more in-depth into the different groups and ask more specific questions.

These information booths include those in the panel as well as United Campus Ministries, Cross Church and Christ on Campus.

The goal is to provide a space where a student can really gain an understanding of things that they might not be very knowledgeable about with regards to spirituality.
