Students to Present Research on Muscle Metabolism

Jacob Brown and Wesley Haynie, University of Arkansas doctoral students, will make presentations from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 in Room 311 of the HPER Building.
Brown will present "Mitochondrial Degeneration Precedes Cancer Cachexia." He is a member of the Integrative Muscle Metabolism Laboratory. Haynie will present "Effects of Chronic Overexpression of PGC-1a during Muscle Regeneration." He is a member of the Exercise Muscle Biology Laboratory.
The presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department.
