Fabula Bound Debuts Undergraduate Literary Magazine
Fabula Bound invites students to a reading event and taco soirée celebrating the premiere of The Fiddler, an undergraduate literary magazine, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Human Environmental Sciences Building room 102.
"I don't think we realize how much our creative writers distinguish this university and influence the culture of Fayetteville," said Michelle Gibeault, faculty advisor for Fabula Bound and the English and communication librarian at Mullins Library. "The Fiddler offers the opportunity for our undergraduate students to grow into published writers — I want to thank Fabula Bound for their inspired work in making that possible."
The Fiddler was birthed in Fall 2015 in a Creative Writing II course. The founders joined with Fabula Bound to create an outlet for undergraduate writing.
After the premiere, any remaining issues of The Fiddler will be free to any student who wishes to pick one up at the Research Assistance Desk in Mullins Library.
This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. For questions about the event or for accommodations due to disability please contact Kayla Kimball, Fabula Bound Treasurer, at knkimbal@uark.edu or call (479) 530-2829.
