Reconstruction Work to Close Section of Leverett Avenue

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will begin reconstruction of Leverett Avenue between North Street and Cleveland Street Monday, June 2. The work will consist of storm drainage improvements, removing and replacing deteriorated sidewalks, curbing, and street surface. This will match the improvements made on Leverett Avenue between Cleveland Street and Maple Street in 2013.

The street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residents will be allowed access but should use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for workers and equipment.

The reconstruction is expected to be complete in approximately 10 weeks.
