Registration open for Human Resource Development

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is now open for a 12-session professional development program for human resource professionals offered in class at the University of Arkansas Global Campus (School of Continuing Education and Academic Outlook) in Rogers and online.

Classes will be offered 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 10 to April 28, and can provide 3.6 continuing education units. Online registration is available at www.globalcampus.uark.edu on the professional development page.

The Society for Human Resource Management Learning System is designed for people seeking continuing professional development and a broad overview of the field. It is also a tool for those preparing to take the certification exams for Professional in Human Resources or the Senior Professional in Human Resources. Students can attend class in Rogers or interact live with the class via a two-way, video-over-Internet (VoIP) webcast.

This course is offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management.

Participants will increase their knowledge of the field of human resources and receive current reference of human resource practices, including updates on current policies and legislation. As a certification preparation tool, the program has a measurable track record of success for those qualified to sit for the exam. Visit www.hrci.org for 2011 exam eligibility requirements, costs and application dates.

The course cost of $1,090 includes 12 class sessions, the Learning System books (at a substantial cost savings compared to purchasing the books directly from the Society for Human Resource Management), access to Blackboard, an endless number of practice tests on www.learnhrm.com, and all recorded sessions. Please note the course investment does not cover registration for certification exams.

By enrolling in this course, students will benefit from experienced, industry-expert instructors; training at the student’s chosen location; Web resources and mobile applications; a structured learning environment to keep the students on schedule; the opportunity to build a peer network; and the opportunity to earn 3.6 continuing education units.
