College of Engineering, Division of Agriculture Host Conference on Renewable, Efficient Energy
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —The College of Engineering and the Division of Agriculture will host the Conference for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the campus of the University of Arkansas.
The morning session will begin at 10 a.m. This session will feature special guests Robert Noun, executive director, external affairs of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Robert Ames, director of development at Tyson Foods; and Chris Benson, director of the Arkansas Energy Office.
The afternoon session will begin at 12:30 p.m. This session will feature special guests Charles Zimmerman, vice president of prototype and new format development at Wal-Mart; and Tom Vander Ark, president of the X-Prize Foundation.
The conference will include a Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Expo that will feature displays and interactive exhibits highlighting ways residents and business owners can save energy and money. The expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 21.
All events are free and open to the public.
This event is being held in cooperation with U.S. Rep. John Boozman, congressman for the 3rd district in Arkansas.
