Registration Open for 2026 Arkansas Double Reed Rally

The University of Arkansas Community Music School invites oboists and bassoonists of all ages to the Arkansas Double Reed Rally from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall on the U of A campus in Fayetteville.

The event offers a full day of music-making and instruction, including master classes, repertoire and sight-reading sessions, reedmaking, double reed ensemble playing and All-State audition preparation. Participants will learn from U of A faculty members Theresa Delaplain, professor of oboe, and Melanie Ferrabone, teaching assistant professor of bassoon, alongside guest artists Margaret Marco, professor of oboe at the University of Kansas, and Jacqueline Wilson, associate professor of bassoon at Washington State University.

High school seniors interested in attending the U of A will also have the opportunity to audition for music scholarships during the rally.

Registration is $30, and reedmaking tools and supplies will be available for participants. Free parking is available in the Stadium Drive Parking Garage.
