The U of A campus community is invited to Cyber Day, a free event for students, faculty and staff, featuring games, giveaways and interactive cybersecurity activities. The event will be held in the International Connections Lounge (Flag Room) at the Arkansas Union Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
October marks National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Cybersecurity is a fundamental part of the U of A's commitment to protecting the data and privacy of its students, faculty and staff.
Cyber Day will turn cybersecurity awareness into an interactive experience with six stations where attendees can play Phishing Pool, Wheel of Phish, Cyber Plinko, Data Cornhole and the Cyber Attack Challenge. There will also be a Community Cyber Safety table with practical tips for staying safe online.
Other highlights include vendor-donated giveaways, a visit from the university mascot and cookies, while supplies last.
The event is sponsored by IT Services with swag and activities provided by special guest vendors. A representative with KnowBe4 will be present at one of the informational tables.
The U of A's cybersecurity outreach continues year-round. Visit IT Services' cybersecurity page for the latest info and resources.
