Autumn Spicher Joins College of Education and Health Professions as Senior Director of Development

Autumn Spicher has joined the College of Education and Health Professions as senior director of development, effective Sept. 21. Spicher brings more than a decade of experience in development, external relations and communications across higher education, non-profit and government sectors.

"I am incredibly excited to join the College of Education and Health Professions and to return to a college whose work has such a meaningful impact across Arkansas and beyond," Spicher said. "I am especially looking forward to partnering with Dean Mamiseishvili to build philanthropic support that helps advance the college's vision for the future. By engaging alumni and friends in priorities centered on student success, impactful research, faculty excellence and service to Arkansas, we can help create even greater opportunities for the people and communities the college serves."

Spicher previously served as managing director of development for the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and director of development for the Honors College. Spicher's background also includes roles with the U.S. Senate, the National Council on Teacher Quality, the College of Engineering and the Arkansas Academy for Educational Equity.

"Over the past three years, I have seen firsthand Autumn's exceptional dedication to advancing the University of Arkansas through philanthropy," said Sandy Edwards, associate vice chancellor for advancement. "She brings strategic thinking, a deep commitment to our mission and, most importantly, an ability to build the relationships that turn philanthropic aspirations into meaningful support. I am especially pleased that this next chapter brings Autumn back to the College of Education and Health Professions, where she already has strong connections and an appreciation for the college's impact across Arkansas."

In her new role, Spicher will provide strategic leadership for the College of Education and Health Professions' fundraising efforts, partnering with faculty, campus colleagues and donors to advance the college's priorities and strengthen philanthropic support for students, programs and initiatives.

An alumna of the U of A, Spicher earned bachelor's degrees in political science and economics and a master's degree in public administration. She is a first-generation college graduate. Spicher is a Northwest Arkansas Business Journal Forty Under 40 honoree and a life member of the Arkansas Alumni Association.
