One Day, One U of A Returns for Third Year; Project Applications Now Open

The U of A will celebrate the third annual One Day, One U of A on Wednesday, April 7, 2027. From midnight to midnight, the 24-hour giving day will unite the Razorback community around projects that expand opportunity and make a lasting difference across campus and beyond.

Since 2025, One Day, One U of A has grown in both participation and impact. Its project-based crowdfunding format gives colleges, schools and units the opportunity to highlight meaningful work taking place across the university. It also allows supporters to choose the projects that matter most to them and see the difference their gifts make.

Applications are now open for faculty, staff and students to submit a project for One Day, One U of A 2027. Applications are due Nov. 2, 2026, and selected project teams will be announced in early December. Campaign preparation will begin in January.

Each college, school and unit will have the opportunity to be represented by at least one project. Multiple projects may be submitted and selected.

"Every project provides a specific opportunity to make a difference, and collectively those gifts strengthen programs and possibilities across the University of Arkansas. We are grateful to the supporters who have rallied behind giving day initiatives each year, and we look forward to building on that momentum as our Razorback community comes together again for One Day, One U of A."

New Resources for 2027

Project teams will have access to expanded tools and resources throughout the application and campaign process, including:

• Beacon HQ, our enhanced internal One Day SharePoint site, has new milestone sections to guide teams from application through campaign preparation
• An updated Application Toolkit with project criteria, application questions, planning resources and Quick-Start Guides
• An expanded FAQ library organized by topic for easier navigation
• New resources for the Beacon Brigade, One Day's community of advocates who help project teams extend their reach through personal outreach and peer-to-peer sharing

One-on-one meetings are available for teams that would like to brainstorm, ask questions or discuss potential projects. Book time through Friday, Oct. 30.
