Christopher C. Rosen, distinguished professor and William R. & Cacilia Howard Chair in Management in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, has been named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Management, one of the world's leading academic journals in business and management. Rosen began his term July 1, leading an editorial team of scholars from universities around the world.
The appointment places a Walton College faculty member at the helm of a journal included in the Financial Times' FT50, a list of 50 leading academic publications used to assess research at business schools around the world. The role gives Rosen an opportunity to help shape scholarship in the field while bringing greater visibility to Walton College and the University of Arkansas within the global business research community.
Published by SAGE in association with the Southern Management Association, the Journal of Management publishes research spanning organizational behavior, human resource management, strategy, entrepreneurship, organizational theory and research methods. As editor-in-chief, Rosen will help guide the journal's scholarly direction and oversee an editorial team that includes three senior editors, 22 associate editors, five consulting editors and a broad network of editorial board members.
Rosen, who joined Walton College in 2006, previously served as an associate editor of the Journal of Management and has built an extensive record of research examining how workplace experiences affect employee well-being, attitudes and performance.
