Beginning Saturday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 14, motorists should expect increased bus traffic on Maple Street as sorority recruitment activities take place on campus. While no road closures are planned during this period, buses will make frequent stops for passenger loading and unloading, which may cause traffic delays.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, buses will travel along Maple Street with periodic stops between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. each day. Traffic is expected to be significantly heavier during these hours.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, use caution when traveling in the area and consider alternate routes whenever possible to avoid delays.
These traffic impacts will remain in effect through Friday, Aug. 14. Throughout the week, University Police will be on site to assist with traffic control and help ensure the safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this busy week.
