One donation can make a lifetime of difference.

Last year, the U of A community demonstrated what it means to serve others. Thanks to the generosity of students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends, the university's Welcome Weeks Blood Drive was recognized by the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks as one of the Top 10 College Blood Drives of 2025.

This year, Transition Programs & Initiatives (TPI) is once again partnering with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks to host the 2026 Welcome Weeks Blood Drive, and we're inviting Razorback Nation to build on that incredible momentum.

Our goal is simple: 100 donations.

At the University of Arkansas, we believe belonging begins by caring for one another. The Welcome Weeks Blood Drive is one way our campus demonstrates that commitment from the very beginning of the academic year. Every donation represents hope, compassion and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a neighbor.

— Jerrod O. Lockhart, director, Transition Programs & Initiatives

Every donation collected through the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks remains in Northwest Arkansas, directly supporting local hospitals and helping patients throughout our region. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting surgeries or providing lifesaving treatments, your donation stays local and helps ensure blood is available when our friends, families and neighbors need it most.

Following the tremendous response from last year's event, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks representative Greg Womack has challenged the U of A community to reach 100 donations during this year's drive. Together, we have an opportunity to once again demonstrate the compassion, generosity and Razorback spirit that earned national recognition in 2025.

Whether you're donating for the first time or you're a returning donor, your gift has the power to save lives and strengthen our community.
