The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Ron Freeze, teaching professor of information systems and director of enterprise systems, and recognize his many contributions to Walton College and the U of A.

Freeze joined Walton College in 2015 after an accomplished career spanning both industry and higher education. Before entering academia, he spent more than 20 years in the automotive industry, helping lead startup operations at Diamond-Star Motors and later working for Ford Motor Company. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in information systems from Arizona State University, where he also taught before joining the Walton College faculty.
Throughout his career, Freeze has combined real-world business experience with teaching and research focused on enterprise systems, knowledge management and organizational learning. As director of enterprise systems in the Information Systems Department, he has helped prepare students to apply technology in solving complex business challenges through experiential, industry-connected learning.
Colleagues know Freeze for his steady leadership and dedication to students, while his practical perspective and collaborative approach have strengthened both the classroom experience and the Enterprise Systems Program. His career reflects a commitment to helping students understand not only how technology works, but how it creates value for organizations.
