Student Involvement and Leadership will host Hillfest, Razorbash and Service on the Hill: a Community Connections Fair (in conjunction with the Center for Community Engagement) during the first week of classes. The three events serve as informational-type fairs designed to help students learn more about campus and the Northwest Arkansas community.
Hillfest
Organized by SOOIE (Student Organization Outreach and Involvement Experience), Hillfest is a fair for students to discover campus offices/departments and registered student organizations (RSOs). The event will be on Monday, Aug. 17, on the Arkansas Union Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students will learn how they can join student-led organizations, access resources to help them succeed as a student at the U of A and so much more. The event will also feature the Associated Student Government Welcome Back Cookout.
U of A departments and RSOs that completed re-registration for the 2026-2027 academic year are invited to register to table at Hillfest at no cost. Those interested can visit the Hillfest registration site and register beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22. Potential participants must use a UARK email log-in (please note that UARK email logins can only be used to register campus departments or RSOs). Tables are limited and will be granted on a first registered first serve basis.
Razorbash
Razorbash is an opportunity for students to engage with local businesses and national vendors and will be on Wednesday, Aug. 19, on the Arkansas Union Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be plenty of free food, free swag, discounts to businesses, music and much more.
Businesses or vendors that are interested in being represented at Razorbash can register through the Razorbash registration site.
Service on the Hill: A Community Connections Fair
Service on the Hill: A Community Connections Fair is a new event coordinated with the Center for Community Engagement and is an opportunity for students to connect with non-profits. The event will be on Friday, Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Arkansas Union Mall. Non-profits interested in participating can register on the registration site.
Off-campus businesses and non-profit organizations who have not previously logged in to the registration site will have to complete a brief registration form, followed by a confirmation email. Once the email is confirmed, you will be able to register for the event. Please note that your first name, last name, email address and phone number will be your log-in for future visits, so be sure to record that information.
