Nominations Now Open for IT Campus Pillar Awards

IT Services is looking to recognize staff who work in IT for their exceptional service to the university. These awards are open to all campus IT staff.

Awards will be given for the categories of student support, research support, and process improvement and support service. Details for each award can be found below.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit nominations with the IT Campus Pillar Award Nomination form for each of the three categories by 5 p.m. July 2. Award recipients will be recognized at an upcoming Campus IT Meeting.

Student Support Pillar Award: This award emphasizes support in teaching and learning spaces to increase innovation and faculty excellence. It should highlight how this person "helps students grow, contribute and thrive throughout their lives and in their communities from matriculation to graduation."

Research Support Pillar Award: This award emphasizes support in the research space that increases the ability for faculty to focus on research and should highlight how this person "promote(s) scientific inquiry, knowledge creation and creative works that integrate and coordinate education, research and service activities."

Process Improvement and Support Service Pillar Award: This award highlights the work that is done to improve the lives and work of faculty and staff on campus. This award emphasizes support for staff and faculty in their business processes and excellent support and should highlight how this person fosters a work environment that allows for continuous improvement and collaboration.

The window to nominate staff for these awards closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 2.
