Staff Senate Accepting Scholarship Applications

If you are a full-time staff member taking classes at the U of A, you may be eligible for scholarship support through the Staff Senate Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Applications may be submitted for the 2026-2027 Staff Senate Scholarships. The scholarship application period will close Monday, June 15.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Awards: The number of scholarships to be awarded is limited to 10 full-term $500 scholarships. Disbursement will be up to $250 per semester, fall 2026 then spring 2027.

Purpose: This award was developed to promote and encourage staff development through higher education.

Eligibility: Each applicant must be a 100% appointed, full-time University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, staff employee.

Criteria: The following criteria will be used to choose the award recipients. Each applicant must:

• Be staff eligible for the U of A tuition discount benefit at the time of award.
• Be admitted as a degree-seeking student enrolled in at least three credit hours per semester at the Fayetteville campus.
• Have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 or higher.
• Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in the fall semester to remain eligible for the spring disbursement.
• A recipient may receive only one Staff Senate scholarship per academic year, either the combined fall/spring scholarship or spring only.
• Members of the Staff Seante Scholarship Committee and their immediate family members are ineligible.
• A scholarship may be rescinded if eligibility is not maintained. The recipient will receive written notification and may request review within 30 days.
• Express a desire to contribute to the university through further educational endeavors.
• Provide two references by submitting two letters of recommendation.

Finalists may be interviewed by the members of the Scholarship Committee.
