Already Speak Spanish? Take It Further This Fall

If you grew up speaking Spanish at home or in your community, you may benefit from enrolling in Spanish for Heritage Speakers courses. These courses are designed to build on the language skills you already have while supporting your academic progress and long-term professional goals. Heritage Spanish courses recognize your prior knowledge and help you strengthen reading, writing and formal communication skills.

Fall 2026 Course Offerings

• SPAN 21203 - Heritage Speakers I   - MWF 8:35 a.m.

• SPAN 31203 - Heritage Speakers II  - MWF 8:35 a.m.

• SPAN 41203 - Heritage Speakers III - Online

Native and Heritage speakers, as well as those students with near-native oral proficiency, can take the Fast Track Exam to earn up to six credit hours — saving time and tuition while advancing toward a degree.
