The Division of Student Affairs will host a student Town Hall on April 9 to discuss safety and transportation on campus, giving students the chance to ask questions, share concerns and offer input.
The Town Hall is from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. in the MC Gallery on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Union. Students and all members of the campus community are welcome to attend.
This is the third and final Town Hall in a semester-long series designed to put students at the center of important campus conversations. Attendees can ask questions and share feedback during an open forum discussion taking place alongside major initiatives on campus, including a proposed 1,500-space parking garage and the addition of more than 11,000 Razorback Transit hours to extend bus and Safe Ride services during the 2025-26 school year.
The Town Hall panel is comprised of campus leaders with expertise in transportation, safety and facilities:
- Gary Smith, director of Transit and Parking
- Adam Waddell, director of Razorback Transit
- Steve Gahagans, director of University Police
- Mike Oestereicher, associate vice chancellor for facilities
The evening will kick off with a free dinner and welcome from 5-5:30 p.m., followed by panelist introductions from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. The remainder of the program, from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., will be an open-forum Q&A.
More than an information session, the Town Hall is an opportunity for students to have their voices heard and help shape solutions that improve campus life for all Razorbacks.
