The Tech Store & Service Center location in the Arkansas Union has permanently closed effective Dec. 15, 2025, as part of a planned consolidation. All university services will now operate through the location on the first floor of the University Bookstore, 616 N. Garland Ave. The bookstore location will continue operating Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Stakeholders were previously notified of the consolidation, which was planned several months in advance.
The Tech Store & Service Center supports the campus community by providing technology for sale at discounted prices, walk-up technology support, repair services for computers, and Apple iPhone battery and screen replacements.
As an Apple-authorized campus store, university-affiliated purchasers are eligible to purchase at discounted prices reserved for educational institutions. The Tech Store is also an authorized service provider for Apple and Dell products, and Tech Store technicians can diagnose and repair computers, iPads and iPhones right on campus.
Depending on the warranty status of the device, the repair may be free. If the device is not under warranty, a competitive labor fee and part replacement will apply.
