Help Round Up Bicycles to Get Neighbors on Wheels

This week, the Office for Sustainability is hosting their bi-annual Bicycle Roundup, which aims to collect unwanted bicycles on campus before students leave for break. Do you have a bike you no longer need? Don't leave it to rust on the rack!

For many people, bicycles are more than just a mode of transportation - they're an essential part of the campus experience at the U of A. Bikes offer the freedom to zip across campus, explore the vibrant Northwest Arkansas community and venture beyond, all while keeping costs low, spirits high and sustainability in focus.

By contributing to the Fall 2025 Bicycle Roundup, you can support your peers and provide essential transportation services to our campus community. Your gently used bike will help grow the recently developed U of A Bicycle Library and provide students, staff and faculty with an affordable, sustainable way to navigate campus and beyond.

Established this past summer, the Bicycle Library was formed through the collaborative efforts of the Office for Sustainability, University Libraries and UREC Outdoors. Fourteen refurbished bikes were made available to rent, and all 14 were rented for one semester or more! The warm welcome has ushered in a season of growth, with hopes to double the amount of bicycles offered by fall 2026.
