All University of Arkansas employees are required to complete system-mandated training courses on a regular schedule. To remain in compliance, employees must complete all required trainings by Dec. 31, 2025.

Training requirements vary, with some trainings required annually and others every three years. Employees who are not in compliance by the deadline will begin receiving additional outreach in January. Those who remain out of compliance by Feb. 28, 2026, will be ineligible for any salary increases during the annual adjustment cycle in July.

Updated Trainings Now Available

Avoid, Deny, Defend: Active Shooter and Cybersecurity trainings have been updated in Workday. These trainings are revised annually in collaboration with subject matter experts and the Office of Human Resources.

Cybersecurity Training updates:

  • New content is available on insider threats and the associated cybersecurity risks.

Active Shooter Training updates:

  • Additional resources, including an enhanced webpage and FAQ, are provided to better understand the Avoid, Deny, Defend framework.
  • A brief quiz will follow the completion of the active shooter video.

Employees who have already completed these trainings in 2025 are not required to retake them, but are strongly encouraged to review the updated versions to stay informed on current best practices.

For questions on mandatory employee training, employees can contact their learning partner, HR partner or submit a Training Support and Administration ticket via TDX.
