The University of Arkansas has approved a policy update clarifying its obligations under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), outlining how reasonable accommodations will be provided for pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions.

Employees requesting accommodation should follow the process outlined in the updated policy.

This update complements previously announced changes to the university's parental leave and modified work assignment policies, which were also aligned with the PWFA and the UA System benefit structure.
