Staff Appreciation Events to Move to May Starting This Year

Beginning this year, Staff Appreciation Week and the staff appreciation events coordinated by Staff Senate will be moved from October to May. This change is designed to better align with the academic calendar and provide a more enjoyable and convenient time for planning and participation to celebrate our dedicated staff. Watch for announcements about additional events anchored around the annual Staff Appreciation Picnic in the spring semester.

While these special events will now take place in May, we encourage everyone to continue recognizing and celebrating the hard work and commitment of staff all year long. Every day is an opportunity to show appreciation for the incredible contributions that make the U of A a great place to work and grow.

Additionally, on Oct, 9, the university will hold the Employee Recognition Reception, where administrators and members of Human Resources and Staff Senate will honor Employees of the Quarter, Employees of the Year, Staff Senate Scholarship recipients, Part-Time and Team Award winners and those achieving milestone years of service.
