Libraries Expanding Access: New E-Books and Journals for Fall
The University of Arkansas Libraries significantly expanded digital holdings over the summer, acquiring a wide range of books and journals designed to support teaching, learning and research across campus. By investing in these resources, the University Libraries continue to enhance access to scholarly materials that empower students and faculty to pursue innovative teaching and groundbreaking research.
- O'Reilly for Higher Education — This popular online learning platform offers e-books, videos, audiobooks and case studies covering topics such as technology, business and career development, with over 68,000 titles in total. The variety of formats support different learning styles, making it especially valuable for students in computer science, data analytics, business and engineering, as well as faculty looking to incorporate hands-on learning tools into their courses.
- Elsevier All Access Books — Providing access to the full suite of ScienceDirect books from the earliest publications through the 2025 frontlist, this collection spans all disciplines.
- De Gruyter Brill Complete Collection — This acquisition includes nearly 95,000 e-books from two of the most respected academic publishers, covering the humanities, social sciences, STEM and law.
- Elsevier Journal Backfiles — This extensive archive of scholarly journals strengthens access to historic and foundational research across the sciences, medicine and social sciences. Faculty and graduate students conducting longitudinal or historical research will find it particularly useful.
- Journal of Addiction Medicine — Providing current and archival access, this resource will serve students, researchers and clinicians in public health, psychology, medicine and social work. Its evidence-based studies support both academic inquiry and professional practice.
