Facilities Use Policies Updated
The following campus facilities use policies have been updated.
FPP 708.0, Use of University Facilities and Outdoor Space. The updated policy permits outdoor tabling for distribution of literature by members of the campus community without a reservation if the location is not already reserved. The update also modifies certain provisions regarding walks and runs to allow such events to be conducted on additional days with approval from UAPD, in consultation with the Provost's Office, Student Affairs, and Athletics. Finally, the update clarifies requirements regarding identification of participants in campus events, and concerning insurance, security deposits, and event liability.

Provisions regarding permanent/building signage standards and review processes have been updated, along with provisions relating to roadway and traffic signs and construction project signage. Updated provisions also clarify requirements relating to posting of yard signs and banners, use of projections, and chalking, as well as the posting of durable messages by University units. Updates also address nondiscrimination, campaign and political activity, and approval processes.
