Join Alain-Philippe Durand, professor of French and the Dorrance Dean of Humanities at the University of Arizona, for an engaging lecture exploring the world of French hip-hop. The presentation will take place from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, in Hill Auditorium 206.

Discover how hip-hop, a genre born in the United States, crossed cultural boundaries to become deeply woven into French popular culture. Professor Durand will examine how this musical movement has expanded throughout the French-speaking world, transforming from an American export into a truly global phenomenon.
