Razorback Transit Making Route Improvements Ahead of Fall Semester
Razorback Transit will be implementing adjustments to its current routes to improve its services and accommodate peak demand during weekday operations. The changes aim to provide better access and timing for all riders for the new school year.
Lot 500 Express
In addition to Route 48, which runs to Lot 500, there will be an increase in the number of buses running the Lot 500 Express route which provides a quicker trip from the economy lot to the heart of campus.
Route 14
Route 14 will operate on a new route path during both peak and non-peak periods. This adjustment aims to improve service efficiency and rider accessibility by serving stops at the Plant Sciences Building, the Graduate Education Building, and at the corner of Maple Street and West Avenue across from the Pi Beta Phi house.
Route 11
One of the most utilized routes on campus, Route 11, will be increasing its frequency in the mornings on weekdays. This additional service will help address the high volume of riders during peak demand hours.
Route 11 will also extend its hours to 8 p.m. on weekdays to make sure those on campus have evening service to the parking lots on the south end of campus.
Route 35
To help maintain consistent service on Route 35, a second bus is being added to the route. This should help the route make a trip every 20 minutes.
Route 44
Route 44 will be divided into two new routes (Routes 45 and 46) during daytime hours of weekdays to better serve distinct areas.
Route 45 will serve the Walmart on MLK Drive and will not turn onto Futrall Drive to serve the Southern View apartments and surrounding area. Route 46 instead will serve the Southern View loop and will not go to the Walmart.
Route 44 will resume its normal, full route starting at 7 p.m. each day.
Safe Ride is also extending its services this year to accommodate those needing a ride on Sundays.
All new routes will be reflected on Passio GO! and in the Passio GO! app. You can contact Transit if you have any questions at 479-575-7433. Look forward to seeing more Razorback Transit buses around campus and Fayetteville!
