FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The final deadline to apply for the Executive Master of Business Administration program in the Sam M. Walton College of Business is Saturday, July 19. Apply now.

Designed for experienced professionals and rising leaders, the Walton Executive M.B.A. offers a flexible hybrid structure that allows students to maintain their full-time careers while advancing their business acumen and leadership skills. Classes meet one Saturday per month in person on the Fayetteville campus, with additional online instruction between sessions.

“Working while completing an M.B.A. allows you to apply what you learn in the program to your current role,” said Jen Boyer, project manager, Advancement Partnerships and Strategy, University of Arkansas. “I started feeling the investment of my time and money pay off way before I walked across the stage at graduation.”

The EMBA program, offered through Walton College’s nationally recognized Graduate School of Business, is typically completed in two years. Core business courses are supplemented with strategic electives in areas such as supply chain, finance, organizational innovation, entrepreneurship, retail, analytics or healthcare. Students also benefit from an integrated global immersion experience and team projects that enable them to apply what they’ve learned to current business challenges.

Program highlights include:

  • A format tailored to working professionals
  • Faculty with deep industry and research experience
  • Emphasis on data-driven decision making and strategic thinking
  • A diverse cohort of professionals from across industries and roles
  • Immediate applicability to work in higher education, nonprofit, public and private sectors

“The EMBA program gave me more than just knowledge, ... it gave me confidence to take those stretch projects, to speak up in meetings with leadership, and to take risks that have paid off,” Boyer said. “It means more to earn a degree from the University that you work at. I felt supported in my M.B.A. journey both financially through the Employee Tuition Waiver program and emotionally through my coworkers and supervisors as they understand what an endeavor the EMBA program is.”

University of Arkansas employees may be eligible for tuition assistance through the university’s employee education benefits program. To learn more or to begin your application, visit the Executive M.B.A. website or contact the Graduate School of Business at gsb@walton.uark.edu.
