University Housing is pleased to welcome Randy Green as the new director of residential facilities.

A dedicated member of the Razorback community since 2020, Green brings a wealth of experience in facilities management, skilled trades and leadership in construction to this role.

"I am honored and excited for the opportunity to work with and lead the hard-working residential facilities team," Green said.

He most recently served as the assistant director for operations and maintenance, leading a team responsible for the care and upkeep of more than 6,200 residential bed spaces across many campus buildings.

Under his leadership, the department managed complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades, coordinated logistics with university partners such as Chartwells and Facilities Management and ensured smooth communication during operational projects impacting students.

Before joining University Housing, Green worked as a skilled trades generalist overseeing maintenance for Yocum and Founders halls. Prior to his time in higher education, he owned and operated Green Fence and William Green Construction Company Inc., where he managed everything from excavation and demolition to budget oversight, compliance with state safety regulations and hands-on operation of heavy machinery. His extensive background also includes work in cabinetry and retail merchandising.

A native of Arkansas, Green earned his bachelor's degree in physical education and recreation from Ouachita Baptist University.

He is known for his hands-on leadership style, deep institutional knowledge and ability to bridge long-term planning with day-to-day operations.

"Randy brings a strong mix of practical experience and institutional commitment to this position," said Jon Shaffer, University Housing's assistant vice chancellor.

"We're excited for the vision and steady leadership he'll bring to our operations team as we continue to prioritize safe, well-maintained and welcoming living spaces for all Razorbacks."

Please join us in congratulating Randy Green and welcoming him into this new role.
