"Our rise in these national rankings is a testament to our exceptional graduate education programs and our dedicated faculty members," Dean Kate Mamiseishvili said. "We take great pride in the work we accomplish and will continue striving to provide the best possible academic experience for our outstanding students."
U.S. News' 2025 Best Education School rankings are based on various factors, such as research activity, the academic excellence of entering students, faculty resources and perceptions on program quality from education school deans and educational employers.
The college granted over 60 doctoral degrees to students in graduate education programs, which is one factor considered in the rankings.
"Our faculty provide high-quality education that fosters collaborative thinking, innovative approaches to teaching and long-term success of our students," said Matthew Ganio, associate dean for academic and student affairs. "Rankings such as these reinforce the great work that is being done."
The college also increased its research funding, accumulating almost $270,000 in research expenditures per faculty member.
"We've experienced a lot of recent success in research, with growth in quality and quantity of metrics such as publications and external funding," said Michael Hevel, associate dean for research, strategy and outreach.
