Sit, Stay, Celebrate: Honors College to Host 'Best in Show' at Gearhart Courtyard
Get ready to paws your studies and unleash some fun. The Honors College is throwing a tail-wagging celebration for our four-legged friends! Join us for popsicles, water, dog treats and plenty of belly rubs from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the Gearhart Courtyard. Whether you're a proud pup parent or just in need of some canine cuddles, this event is sure to be a howlin' good time.
Attendees planning to bring a dog to campus will be required to sign a waiver, release and indemnification agreement on the day of the event. Participation is limited to one dog per person. Those planning to attend can RSVP through HogSync.
Proud pup parents can also enter their dogs in the Best Trick and Best Costume contests happening during the event!
"Here at the Honors College, we cannot wait to welcome you and your furry companions here at the Honors College," said Megan Hull, director of curricular planning & student engagement. "Best in Show is an event that we look forward to every year. It's a great opportunity to strut your mutt or take a break from studying to pet some pups."
Even pets who can't attend in person can still participate. Dog owners are invited to enter their pups in a photo contest for a chance to earn bragging rights and the title of "Cutest Pet." Entries may be submitted through the event registration form. Voting begins April 28, with additional details available on the Honors College Instagram account.
