The U of A Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration's "National Drug Take Back Day" and will accept all excess drugs and used needles from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Administrative Services Building, 155 S. Razorback Rd.

The U of A is an official drug collection site. Officers will be available on Saturday for the community to drive up and drop off prescription drugs. The building, which houses UAPD, also has a permanent "drug dropbox" that can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The dropbox has collected nearly 600 pounds of excess drugs since the previous take back day in 2024.

Proper disposal of excess drugs helps save lives and protects the environment. National Drug Take Back Day is a free event for communities nationwide to properly dispose of medications safely and anonymously.
