ENCLOTHE: Ethereal Fashion Show Featuring Apparel Students April 25

ENCLOTHE: Ethereal, which showcases garments designed and created by apparel merchandising and product development students, will be held at the Fayetteville Public Library.
ENCLOTHE, the annual fashion show featuring garments created by U of A apparel students, is set for April 25 at a new venue this year.
This year's show, which is the 10-year anniversary of the event, is themed "Ethereal" and will be held at the Fayetteville Public Library.
The event showcases garments designed and created by apparel merchandising and product development students, and allows guests to see the business, sustainability and merchandising aspects of what students learn while doing so. Producing the show provides students with experience and connections in the apparel industry.
ENCLOTHE: Ethereal is set for one show at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and no admittance will be allowed after 7:10 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for students, $50 for non-students and $100 for two seats. Packages are also available, including the $250 Pearl Partner for four, $500 Serene Supporter for six, $1,000 Ethereal Elite for eight and $5,000 Platinum Presenting for 16.
The Pearl Partner package includes preferred seating, access to the reserved lounge with food and drinks, and the show. The Serene Supporter includes the same with a company logo featured in the program. The Ethereal Elite is the same, but with premium seating. Platinum Presenting is the same, plus "Presented by" acknowledgement during the show.
Students participating in the shows are in the Fashion Show Theory and Production with teaching assistant professor Sarah Hixson and/or Advanced Apparel Production with senior instructor Stephanie Hubert.
Students chose the Ethereal theme to "explore the concept of beauty that exists beyond the physical world, capturing the delicate and mystical qualities of light, movement and texture. The dark forest and secret garden atmosphere invites the audience into a realm where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, where fashion takes on an otherworldly, almost celestial grace. By combining flowing fabrics in motion with an atmosphere of mystery and wonder, the theme allows us to celebrate how beauty can feel timeless, elusive and transformative - capturing a fleeting, yet powerful elegance that lingers in the imagination."
"This year's production team has a spark of creativity that is generating such a unique and impactful show," Hixson says. "Even more impressive is their professionalism and unified goal. They support each other's strengths, and the show is truly representing the best of what they each have to offer. I'm inspired by their work and vision."
This year, students are emceeing the show. The producers of each aspect of the show are rotating, including Kadence Trosper (logistics), Mallory Jones (engagement) and Caroline Horne (creative), along with assistants Chloe McPherson, Ella Perrin and Lleyton Sinclair.
Every garment featured in the show has been made this semester by students in the AMPD program, which is part of the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Science's School of Human Environmental Sciences.
The apparel program is once again collaborating with other students and academic units across campus. Show and student design partners include the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the occupational therapy program in the College of Education and Health Professions, the Jean Tyson Child Development Study Center and the Multicultural Center in the Division of Student Affairs. In addition, several vendors will be represented at the show.
