If you're looking for an exciting way to connect with nature, discover new outdoor opportunities and meet like-minded individuals, mark your calendars from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, on the Union Mall.

GORP Fest 2025 is the event you don't want to miss! This celebration of outdoor engagement is designed to highlight the many benefits of spending time outdoors, from boosting physical and emotional wellbeing to promoting environmental sustainability. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or simply curious about exploring nature, GORP Fest has something for everyone.

The event aims to bring together students, faculty and staff for a fun-filled day of outdoor activities and community building. It's not just about spending time outdoors; it's about discovering how outdoor engagement can enhance your day-to-day life. GORP Fest will showcase the variety of ways you can incorporate the outdoors into your daily routine. Attendees will find information about everything from recreational activities to alternative transportation options. By participating, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how outdoor activities can improve your overall wellbeing while helping you connect with others who share similar interests.

At GORP Fest, you'll also have the opportunity to explore different outdoor industries and the resources available to support your outdoor interests. Representatives from various campus groups and outdoor recreation organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. You'll have the chance to learn about activities and resources that may not be on your radar yet, whether it's through the Office for Sustainability, UREC Outdoors, Outdoor Leadership or the Greenhouse Outdoor Recreation Program. These groups are passionate about promoting outdoor engagement and will be eager to show you how to get involved.

Some of the things you'll find at GORP Fest include:

  • Live printed custom tee shirts by Hi Fin
  • Complementary bike tune ups
  • A custom camper van to explore
  • Information on how to get involved with Ozark Adaptive Sports Association
  • Gear giveaways
  • So much more!

In addition to the wealth of knowledge and resources available, GORP Fest offers the chance to build connections and make new friends who share your love for the outdoors. You can meet people from all walks of life who are just as excited about outdoor recreation as you are. This event creates a space where you can connect with campus affiliates, outdoor enthusiasts and community groups, forming a network that supports outdoor exploration throughout Northwest Arkansas.

So, whether you're interested in learning more about sustainable outdoor practices, finding new ways to stay active or simply enjoying a fun and lively atmosphere, GORP Fest 2025 is the place to be. Take a break from your studies, step outside and join us in celebrating the beauty and benefits of the great outdoors. We can't wait to see you there!
