Beginning this semester, pay-by-the-hour parking spaces on campus will be offered solely through mobile payments.

There are two ways to purchase time to park in these spaces: the Flowbird mobile app or the newly established text-to-pay mobile option.

Flowbird provides a safe and easy option to pay for parking in all available hourly parking areas on campus using a mobile device. It is available for download on any iOS or Android device.

An alternative choice is to utilize mobile pay, which allows drivers to send a text message to the number indicated on signs in the parking area. Drivers will then receive a text message reply with a link where users can pay for parking.

Physical meters and pay station kiosks have been removed from campus this week in correspondence with this change.

Anyone who does not have a mobile device with text message or Internet capabilities can purchase temporary permits by the day to park in hourly-pay spaces.

Any questions about pay-for-parking areas can be directed to the parking office at 479-575-7275 or parking@uark.edu.
