U of A Mock Trial Wraps Up Season With Wins Across All Teams

The U of A Mock Trial team concluded its fall invitational season on a high note, earning trophies across all Arkansas competing teams.

Teams Never Say Never, Currents and Eras traveled to the University of Kansas City, Missouri, to compete in the sixth annual Derek Moorehead and Irene Downes Memorial Invitational. We are thrilled to attend such a competitive and respected tournament alongside teams from Creighton University and St. Louis University.

Team Currents had an incredible showing with a record of 5-3 with two individual awards! Lex Beck, witness for the plaintiff, received a 17 rank outstanding witness award. Alongside, Gabe Miller, witness for the defense, received a perfect 20 rank outstanding witness award!

Team Never Say Never also had an outstanding performance. Vasoula Drosopoulos received two individual awards, a 20 rank outstanding witness award for the plaintiff and a 19 rank outstanding attorney award for the defense!

Alongside, Team Eras brought home an individual and team award! Charis Morasch, witness for the plaintiff, earned a 17 rank outstanding witness award. Team Eras also earned the Spirit of AMTA award that recognizes civility, justice and fair play.

As the 2024 fall invitational season comes to an end, we want to congratulate all of our members this season! The U of A Mock Trial team is a trial simulation-based RSO that competes in tournaments across the nation. We are incredibly proud of our members' dedication and congratulate them on their successes in representing the U of A.
