Faculty Affairs Accepting Nominations for Outstanding Faculty Mentors
The Office for Faculty Affairs is calling on faculty to nominate their faculty peers for the Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award.
This award provides the opportunity to recognize and celebrate exceptional faculty mentors who have contributed to the success of other faculty at the university. All non-tenure track, pre-tenure and mid-career faculty members can nominate a faculty mentor for the Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award.
Nominations are accepted online throughout the year. In mid-March 2025, the Office for Faculty Affairs advisory committee will select outstanding mentors to be recognized during the Provost's Faculty Recognition Reception to be held the second week of April, during Faculty Appreciation Week.
Outstanding mentors help promote teaching, scholarship and service excellence while encouraging a healthy work-life balance. They demonstrate commitment to fostering mentees' professional development and create avenues for mentee recognition. They cultivate faculty career advancement and belonging, assist mentees in building their professional networks and advocate for their mentees.
Nominate an outstanding mentor today. Visit this page for nomination forms, eligibility guidelines and more information.
