"Nearly 29 million adults in the U.S. could benefit from using hearing aids. 183,100 cochlear implant devices have been implanted in the U.S., with 118,100 devices having been implanted in adults and the remaining 65,000 in children."

According to a publication by the World Health Organization addressing the rising prevalence of hearing loss (who.int), untreated hearing loss costs $750 billion globally each year due to health costs, loss of productivity and societal costs. Hearing loss impacts the whole individual, impacting physical and mental health.
