University Relations

Daniel Bousquet has joined the U of A School of Law as an assistant professor beginning with the fall 2024 classes. His teaching expertise includes family law, professional responsibility and evidence.

"We are excited to welcome Professor Bousquet to the faculty during the law school's centennial year," said Dean Cynthia Nance. "His wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience during his legal career and past teaching roles will be very beneficial to the law school and our students."

Bousquet joins the faculty from the George Washington University Law School, where he was a visiting associate professor and the Friedman Fellow. His prior experience also includes working as an attorney at leading law firms in Washington, D.C., and as a law clerk for the Hon. William J. Kayatta Jr. at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Portland, Maine.

Bousquet holds a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, where he was the student director of the Sol & Lillian Goldman Advocacy for Children and Youth Clinic, a research assistant and senior editor for the Yale Journal on Regulation and the Yale Journal of Health, Law, Policy and Ethics. He received a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy from Bates College.

His publications and presentations have examined domestic relations, supporting teaching fellows and clinicians, and vaccination consent for children and dependent adults.
