Spreading the Power of Joy With 10 ThoughtFUL Themes at the U of A

The U of A community is invited to join their peers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at Fulbright Dining Hall, to participate in Food on the Hill's ThoughtFUL celebration, a nationwide event designed to encourage and celebrate the power of joy through self-care, mindfulness, spreading positivity and togetherness. This JoyFUL signature event was created by Chartwells Higher Education, a recognized leader in contract food service management and the U of A's food service partner (aka Food on the Hill).

Guests will be excited to know our event will feature not only delicious food but campus partners, flower bouquets, pot painting, a cotton candy machine, music, giveaways and more!

The 10 themes of ThoughtFUL will be taking place simultaneously across all Chartwells' campuses, encouraging self-care in partnership with the Jed Foundation. To get everyone excited, the 10 themes of ThoughtFUL people can anticipate are as follows:

  1. Nourish Your Body, Nourish Your Mind
  2. Make Time for Movement
  3. Doing Good Feels Good
  4. Enjoy the Moment
  5. Connect with Old and New Friends
  6. Sharing is Caring
  7. Try New Things
  8. Hydrate and Smile
  9. Take Brain Breaks
  10. The Power of Joy

Everyone is welcome to join us at ThoughtFUL and seize the opportunity to prioritize their wellbeing and gain a sense of belonging within the campus community!
