University Recreation to Host Campuswide Wellness Challenge 'Commit to Well'
Commit to Well is a campus-wide incentive challenge hosted by UARK Wellness, a department of University Recreation, during the spring semester. The purpose of the challenge is to encourage the U of A community to explore the wide variety of wellness opportunities around campus while focusing on the eight dimensions of wellness, which includes social, environmental, occupational, spiritual, financial, emotional, intellectual and physical.
Beginning on April 1, participants may sign up for the challenge and log the completion of the fitness and wellness activities at fitevent.uark.edu.
Participants earn points for doing any type of physical activity and completing a variety of wellness challenges. Participants who earn 900 total wellness points will earn a prize at the end of the challenge.
"I'm excited to see the ways that our campus community makes this experience their own and translates this challenge into sustainable personal habits!" said Sarah Werner, wellness coordinator.
More information regarding UARK Wellness can be found at wellness.uark.edu, which serves as an outreach tool and resource bank for the campus community.
