The latest Workday release, which went live on March 9, introduced significant enhancements that streamline the user experience, particularly with career planning and job management. Among the notable changes is the rebranding of the Career Hub to the Jobs Hub.

Jobs Hub: A Centralized Approach to Career Management

The Jobs Hub, formerly known as the Career Hub, replaces the Career Hub worklet and allows users to conveniently manage their internal job searches and applications.

Key Enhancements:

  • Unified Access: Access recent and previous job applications and associated materials, fostering a more organized approach to job hunting and application management.
  • Real-Time Updates: Stay updated on recently posted jobs, enabling prompt action and application submission for relevant opportunities.
  • Comprehensive Job Listings: Access to all available jobs within the system, providing users with a comprehensive view of potential career prospects.
  • Custom Job Alerts: Users may set up custom job alerts tailored to their preferences, ensuring timely notifications for new job postings matching their criteria.

Seamless Integration with Talent Management:

The integration between the Jobs Hub and Talent Management further enhances the user experience by allowing users to save and manage jobs directly within the Jobs Hub, streamlining the application process and facilitating better career decision-making.

Other Enhancements:

New look for "Announcements" on Workday homepage

For better visibility, Workday has moved the Announcements section to a more prominent location on the homepage and will now allow employees to scroll through announcements left-to-right, rather than displaying announcements in a top-to-bottom format.

New attachments settings in the Change Job BP

This release improves the user experience during the Change Job process by making it easier to add attachments. Users can now drag and drop attachments to the change job event. While Workday won't display the Attachments tab on the Change Job screen, users can add attachments using the Attachment toolbar.
