DEPARTMENT SPOTLIGHT: ATHLETICS
The Athletic Department at the U of A ensures the academic success of the university's student-athletes. They provide high-level resources, support and services to student-athletes so the athletes can achieve the goal of earning their degrees and have the necessary resources to compete for championships. Razorback Athletics is committed to the university's Employer of Choice goal, as student-athletes, coaches and staff feel a sense of belonging by working together as One Razorback. Athletics strives to create meaningful experiences that foster the passion of the U of A fanbase by cultivating their connection to Razorback Athletics and their pride for the state of Arkansas.
The Athletic Department engages constituents across the state by hosting four-day Razorback Roadshows with at least 500 event attendees each day. They host a minimum of four community engagement events in Razorback Athletics facilities and incorporate "Hogspitality" in public signage, communications and fan experience surveys across all sports to meet the goal of "Unite as ONE Razorback."
During the carnival, Athletics will offer: Hoop the Hog Ring Toss, SEC Can Slam, Razorback Foundation signups/information, ticket sales, part-time position information and Hogs+ information/member benefits.
Employees are invited to learn more about the services that the Athletics team provides by visiting their booth.
The Making Your Day Work Carnival is a collaborative effort led by several departments that comprise the VCFA (Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration) including User Solutions, University IT Services (UITS), Human Resources and Financial Affairs.
