In a celebration of inclusivity and athleticism, the Special Olympics Collegiate Chapter is set to host its annual basketball tournament from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 8, in HPER court 4. Showcasing the talents and spirit of athletes of all abilities, the event promises to be a dynamic display of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. This tournament will feature a series of exhilarating games, with teams vying for victory while displaying exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship. Spectators can expect an electrifying atmosphere filled with cheering fans, thrilling plays, and unforgettable moments of triumph.  

Beyond the competition, the tournament will also serve as a platform to raise awareness and support for the Special Olympics movement. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the organization's mission of inclusion and empowerment, as well as how they can get involved and make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.  

As the excitement builds for this momentous event, organizers are gearing up to deliver an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike. With the transformative power of sports on full display, the Special Olympics Collegiate Chapter Basketball Tournament promises to inspire, unite and leave a lasting impact on all who participate. 

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the Student Activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event.
