Community Submissions Open for U of A Band Exhibition
U of A faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to submit entries for Bring Your Own Artifact: University of Arkansas Bands, an online exhibition created by the University Museum and YOU.
The University Museum has developed an online exhibition featuring a selection of historical band uniforms in celebration of the U of A Band program's 150th anniversary in 2024!
Now, we want to include your own band artifacts: open through Oct. 15, submissions are open for the community to share objects relating to the Band program on the University Museum's website.
You can submit your contributions here!
Contributions can include images of physical objects or stories (with or without accompanying photographs). They don't need to be old or an "antique" — just something fun or meaningful to you!
Examples include, but certainly aren't limited to: band uniforms, tie clips, patches and instruments. Entries will be featured on the museum website alongside the museum's own band collections.
The goal of Bring Your Own Artifact is to provide an outlet for the campus community to share personal objects, hear each other's stories and explore the U of A Museum collections.
The U of A Museum preserves three-dimensional artifacts representing the university's history, such as the very first computer on campus, commencement gowns, Razorback memorabilia and architectural features from campus buildings. Explore these collections on our public database.
